Local Legend Tee: Siesta Key
27.2659° N, 82.5483° W.
That's not decoration. That's where Siesta Key sits, and it's printed on this shirt because it's true.
Every court has regulars
You know the ones. The people who know which end catches the afternoon wind. Who to call when you need a fourth. What time the tourists clear out and the real games start. They didn't get voted in. They just kept showing up until the beach was theirs.
This is for them, and for whichever beach is yours.
The design
Built the way national park signage used to be made, back when a sign had to survive weather and be readable from a moving car. A heavy circular badge, a four-point star at true north, contour lines pulled through the lower arc, and the coordinates set in monospace underneath because coordinates are data and data should look like data.
Nothing on this badge is there to fill space. The rules run where the eye needs a stop. The topography sits low because that's where land meets water. The name gets the most weight because the name is the point.
Five inks: ocean, coral, sunset, seafoam, and outline. Type is Bevan for the display and Barlow Condensed for the caps, with Space Mono carrying the coordinates.
The garment
- Unisex garment-dyed heavyweight cotton
- Thick and structured, still soft and breathable
- Garment-dyed, so each piece carries slight colour variation — no two identical
- Sizes S through 4XL
- Printed and shipped in the US
Care
Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. Garment-dyed cotton keeps its hand feel for years if you keep it out of high heat.
Where the coordinates come from
Every Local Legend badge is generated from a real record in the Rule the Sand directory. We've mapped tens of thousands of courts across dozens of countries. If your beach is in there, it can carry its own badge.
Don't see yours? Find it on Rule the Sand or tell us and we'll map it.
