About SpikePunk

Everyone else built a phone book.

Ask a volleyball player where to find a game this weekend and watch what happens. They check a Facebook group that hasn't been updated since last summer. They text three people. They drive to a court and hope.

The information exists. It just isn't anywhere useful.

SpikePunk was built to fix that. Not with another static directory, but with something that reflects the sport as it actually is: courts that fill and empty, groups that form and fade, games that happen because someone showed up.

What we're building

Rule the Sand is beach volleyball. Every beach, every match. Courts, groups, events, and the players who make them worth showing up for.

No Sand Required is the indoor half. Gyms, leagues, open play.

SpikePunk is the parent. We make the gear, and we make the tools.

The database behind all of it holds tens of thousands of court locations across dozens of countries around the world. Not scraped once and abandoned. Maintained, corrected, and growing.

Why now

In 2028, beach volleyball comes to Alamitos Beach for the Olympic Games. Los Angeles will spend two years turning the sport into something millions of people suddenly care about.

When that happens, a lot of people are going to go looking for a court. We intend to be what they find.

Who's building it

I started with a grassroots volleyball program and one simple idea: when someone says, “I want to play now,” finding a court, group, or event should be easy. That idea grew into SpikePunk, RuleTheSand, and No Sand Required. The goal is simple: less searching, more volleyball.
